Bannerman's Island Arsenal is an abandoned depot on Pollepel Island in the Hudson River south of Beacon, NY. The island is now part of the Hudson Highlands State Park.

These are photos of “New York City Waterfalls” by Olafur Eliasson and “Playing the Building” at the Battery Maritime Building, by David Byrne. Since these are above all musings on infrastructure, it seems appropriate to point out these examples, recently on view in lower Manhattan.
